You may want to try to go for family meals instead of single ones especially if you are eating with children. More often than not, kids on vacation do not eat much because all their appetite goes to all the excitement being in a new place or the thrill of having new experiences. Surely, there would be a lot of kid friendly restaurants near your hotel or resort which can accommodate you and your children. Ask for extra plates, split your servings and you will definitely save more than you think. If you can, buy food from the local grocery and eat snacks or little meals in your room. A hearty sandwich and a handful of fresh fruits can replenish you with the energy you need for another busy sightseeing day.
